Paper Roll Stars
Here I have a very simple Christmas upcycling craft idea including DIY instructions for you: spherical stars made from toilet rolls!
This is what you need:
3 toilet rolls
Stapler
A folding bone is helpful, but is not necessary
if you want to hang the star: string (e.g. baker's twine)
You can find video instructions for the star here on my YouTube-Kanal!
How to make a paper roll star
1. Take a cardboard tube and flatten it. Press the edges very firmly.
2. Place the flattened cardboard roll in front of you and press the edges inward to create a point. Flatten the roll again with the tip and fold the edges tightly.
3. Do the same on the other side of your cardboard tube.
4. Repeat steps 1-3 with the other two cardboard rolls.
5. Now fold all three rolls in half in the middle. Press them firmly!
6. Take a folded roll and staple the two ends together.
7. Repeat step 6 for the other two rolls.
8. Take two of the rolls, place them side by side on the flat side and staple them together at the top.
9. Then place the third roll next to it and staple it in place as well.
10. Finally, unfold your star, put the ends together and staple them in place.
Your star is ready! Now you can decorate it as you wish. If you want to hang it up, attach a string. I used baker's twine.
