Gluing
- Posted on
In addition to standard glue sticks, there are a number of other glue products for different areas of application. If you get stuck with your glue stick in your craft project, you may find one of the following alternatives helpful:
Glue dots
Glue dots are small, flat, flexible disks of adhesive held between perforated sheets. They are used to quickly and easily stick two pieces of paper or other objects together in a small place. This is how you use the points: their areas of application.
1. Remove the adhesive dot from the perforation.
2. Peel off white sheet.
3. Position the foil with the adhesive dot facing down on the paper and stick it on.
4. Peel off the film and stick it on.
Hot glue
A hot glue gun heats the hot melt glue sticks. The adhesive becomes liquid, can be applied with the gun and quickly solidifies again at room temperature. You can glue almost anything together with hot glue. But be careful not to burn your fingers!
Double sided tape
Double-sided adhesive tape is great when glue can't smear and glue has to be placed precisely. Wide double-sided adhesive tape can be cut to size. Use thin double sided tape to stick narrow areas. It is also perfect for creating honeycomb balls.
