Tips for beautiful prints

> Cover your stamp evenly with paint. Do not press too hard on the ink pad to avoid unpleasant edges when printing.

> Before you stamp the desired paper, you should first stamp several times on extra paper until the stamp has absorbed the ink evenly and you are happy with the print.

> Experiment with the underlay! Some stamps work better on a hard surface, some on a soft surface.

> When stamping, make sure to apply even pressure in all areas - without excessive pressing or wobbling.

> Wash off the stamp ink with water and a soft cloth or toothbrush. If water isn't enough, you can also add a drop of dish soap.

> You can also clean stamps easily with baby wipes!

Every stamp is different. Try out what works best for your stamp!

Avoiding edges

With many stamps, the area of the stamp mat is significantly larger than the actual motif. This can cause edges when stamping. These may be intentional, for example to handmade look. But usually they are simply annoying. To avoid edges, you can cut the stamp mat to size. The easiest way to do this is with a cutting knife.

> Using a cutting knife, first cut a line around the front of your stamp motif. Cut close to the subject, but be careful not to damage the subject.

> Then you cut sideways between the stamp mat and the wood. However, only cut under the area to be removed and not under the motif.

> Now you can carefully remove the excess parts of the mat. Cut where necessary.
