Welcome to Miom Studio!

Hi, I'm Kathrin!

I have tons of craft ideas in my head and always scissors, glue, pens and paper on my desk (and if you've been following me for a while you know: a few toilet rolls, too). I create craft ideas: decorations, gifts, cards, art. Preferably made of paper but also with other materials. I like it simple so that everybody can craft along.

I come from the South of Germany, studied graphic design in London and later art management in Cologne. I ran a small but gorgeous international short film festival and worked at the International Filmfestival Berlin. Most recently, I looked after well-known customers as a project manager for guest management in the event industry. I live in Cologne, Germany with my family and Pluto, the dog.

Miom Creative Sets: Made with Love

In my shop, you'll find not only craft supplies and tools but also several Miom creative sets. These sets are made with real craftsmanship and a lot of love: I personally put them together and pack them by hand. The bands are cut by hand, I manually stamp the packaging—sometimes even with stamps that I carve myself. I print, cut, and staple the instructions myself. All templates are designed by me.

Upcycling

Upcycling plays a major role not only in my creative projects but also in your orders from my shop. I package as plastic-free as possible. The filling material—only paper—in your parcels is 100% reused and comes from my wholesale orders. I’d be delighted if you also reuse the shipping box and the filling material!

PS: By the way, it was my daughter who came up with the name "Miom": When she was very small, her cats meowed "miom".
