Winter Ornaments are place cards for a festive table, gift tags, Christmas tree ornaments, and decorations—all in one. Best of all, they smell wonderfully like Christmas!

Simply knead ground cinnamon into the modeling clay, decorate the tokens with star anise and cloves, and stamp in names or short messages.

It's a fun and easy craft to make with children, too!

Content

Modeling clay
Ground cinnamon in a tube
Cinnamon sticks, star anise, cloves
Letter stamps
Circle cookie cutter, approx. 4.7 cm
Instructions

In addition, you will need the following to make the taler:
> Scissors
> Rolling pin or (wine) bottle for rolling out

How it's made

If desired, knead cinnamon powder into the modeling clay, roll it out, and cut out circles with the mold. Decorate the circles with spices. Set names/words individually in the stamp and print them on the tokens. Let the tokens air dry.

Tips, Ideas & Notes

> If you want to print different names, I recommend the small letter set. The large letters are suitable for single, not-too-long words like LOVE, MERRY XMAS, or individual, not-too-long names. With the small letter set, there's room for up to approx. 8 letters in one line (depends on the name). With the large letters, you can stamp about 6 letters in one line.

> The modeling clay air-dries. It takes about 24 hours for the tokens to be dry. However, for last-minute projects, you can use them sooner. The tokens will then still be pliable.

> How many tokens you can make from the material depends on how thick you roll out the modeling clay. The information in the package selection refers to a dough plate thickness of approx. 4-5 mm. If you roll it out thinner, you'll get more; if you roll it out thicker, you'll get fewer tokens.

> A small, circular cookie cutter is included in the package. However, you can, of course, also use your own cookie cutter shapes, for example, stars or hearts. Or you can improvise for larger tokens: Try to see if the size of an egg cup or shot glass better suits your project.

> I do my best to find beautiful star anise for you, but as a natural product, the stars aren't always perfectly shaped.
