Toilet Paper Roll Fish

Fische aus Klorollen basteln I Anleitung

The fish are folded from toilet paper rolls in a jiffy. Paint them however you like and use them as summer decorations. If you craft many fish, you can string them together and hang them up as a garland.

What you need*
eine Klorolle

Toilet paper roll(s) - one roll per fish

Paint - I use Marabu acrylic paints [Affiliate Link*]

A bone folder [Affiliate Link*] is helpful but not necessary

Decoration material as desired

(Hot) glue

For a garland: String

Instructions

1. Take a toilet paper roll.

2. Place the roll in front of you and press in the top edge on the left and right so that the roll gets two points.

3. Flatten the top half of the roll so that the tip points upwards. The tips form the tail of the fish.

4. Fold the front point down and back up again.

5. Repeat the same on the back side.

6. Take the roll, first turn it so that the tip points downwards. Then turn it another 90° to the side.

7. Now repeat steps 2 and 3. This will create a point at the other end of your roll as well. This is the fish's head.

8. Press the tail fins together along the pre-folded line. This creates the fish shape.

9. You can glue the points on the head together.

11. Decorate your fish as desired.

Inspiration

To make a garland, you can string several fish onto a thread. In this case, I recommend stringing the fish first and then gluing the tips of the heads together.
