Toilet paper roll crown

Klorollen-Krone

This crown is super easy to craft and decorate as you like. It's much sturdier than regular paper crowns, so it can be used again and again for birthday children.


All you need are a bunch of toilet paper rolls, glue, and paint!

What you need*
Klorollen und Klebepistole

Toilet paper rolls (depending on the desired size of the crown, approx. 8-14

(Hot) glue

A folding bone [Affiliate Link*] is helpful but not essential

Paint - I use Marabu acrylic paints [Affiliate Link*]

Decorative materials as desired

Instructions

Flatten the first toilet paper roll.

Fold the flattened roll diagonally upwards.

Repeat these first two steps with all toilet paper rolls. Make sure to always fold along the same diagonal (e.g., from the bottom left corner to the top right corner).

Insert a second toilet paper roll into the first as shown.

Tip:The crown will generally hold without glue. However, for a stable crown, I recommend gluing the parts togetherwithhot glue, for example.

This is how you push all the toilet paper rolls one after the other into a long row.

Finally, you form the row of cardboard tubes into a circle...

... and insert the last one into the first toilet roll so that the circle is closed.
